BEAUTIFUL LAKE HOUSATONIC
Message:
Seamed like a nice morning so I headed for Lake Housatonic; the days of staying up all night to stand shoulder to shoulder with the trout fishermen on opening day has somehow lost its allure for me. Anyway water temp was 49 in the cove at the ramp and 48 out in the lake. Except for dodging the yale rowing crews and getting caught in a couple of trees (not much fight this time of year) the most exciting thing that happened was trying to get the boat back on the trailer in the wind. Although I can't remenber I am sure I have had slower starts to the fishing season. Oh my God it's true I AM GETTING OLD. Maybe next time will be better; because this is the closest to my home with the price of gas this will probably be where I spend most of my summer. Hope you guys had better luck. CMORJOE p.s. did I mention I got SKUNKED!
