First Club Tourney of '08 - Aspinook Pond 4/20

Had our first BAWS tourney of '08 yesterday. Weather turned out great. Nice breeze, but very manageable. Only one limit caught - and he won with 7.71 lbs. Someone else caught lunker, a nice 4.31 lb largemouth. Water temps varied from 59 to 63 throughout the day and depending on if you were closer to the river or in back coves. Only half the guys caught fish and only 2 people caught more than 2 fish. People caught fish all day only they were all shorts (9-11 inches) Fish were caught on senkos, flukes, tubes, crawbugs, jigs and topwater plugs. Candlewood in mid-May is up next. Can't wait . . .

Sounded like a tough day for everybody except the winner. At least we all know the fishing will get better!
