Thank God its over!

FINALLY managed to catch a decent bass tonight, again at a small pond by Hotchkiss school in Lakeville. Throwing some Houdini Shad, didn't have much luck, and then when I was just about to give up, I cast from a little different position than normal. First cast there I got a little guy, which was exciting given my current dry spell. The next cast I locked into one, about 4 pounds and managed to wrestle him up to the reeds. He even managed to take the hook out all by himself just as I lifted him up! Wish I had photos, but was by myself and no cell service, so I'd left the phone in the car. All in all, I'm just glad to have finally caught a nice bass this year. I was beginning to think there was something wrong with me, but just goes to show you, more new gear and lures: Always the right answer!
