two part question!

first off anyone have reviews on shimano citica bait casters and shimano symetre spinning reels?
next i have looked at posts to my questions in the past regarding company choices along with speaking to people in stores or on the water and it seems to come down to two brands that stand out. shimano and daiwa. does anyone else feel this way? if so i would like some feedback on reliable reels from each company.

I was actually looking at the symetre reels the other day and ended up going with a daiwa Tierra. So far it's great! I'll keep you posted on how it works out.
Regarding your other question, yes it does indeed seem that way, there are others out there, pfleuger, mitchell, penn, etc. etc. but I guess when it really comes down to it, those guys havent really done the homework as much.
