uncas 5/16

hit uncas pond from 7-8:30am and picked up 3 lmb on salamanders all shallow close to the shoreline. largest going ~3.5 lbs. funny story on this one. i threw to a gap in a grass clump and my line went over a small branch ~3 feet off the water. when the was reeling up the salamander (to flip it off the branch) and it was half out of the water, a bass came cruising out from the weeds towards my bait...so i quickly lowered it back in the water, it took it and as it swam by i was able to jiggle the line off the branch and set the hook! luckily the bass didn't swallow the bait so i was able to release it unharmed.
