Got out today with my wife onto Bashan. It stared out real windy and on the cold side. Air temps were in the low 50's and a 15 mph wind producing some nice white caps on the lake. Water temps were in the low 60's along with tons of empty beds all over. We were on the water around 9:15 and off by 2:00. Caught a total of 8 bass. 6 Keepers - 2 shorts. 7 LMB, 1 SMB. 4 were on the drop shot all between 8 and 11'. 3 were on a wacky rigged senko in less than 4' One was on a dead sticked crankbait. I tried casting it into the wind and wound up with a huge birdnest which I proceeded to unravel after resetting the brakes to adjust for the wind. It took more time that I would have liked. When I was all done I began to real in only to have a bass hit the crankbait as soon as it moved. Never heard of dead sticking a crankbait before. Maybe it's a new technique that will take off. By the time we got off the water air temps were in the mid 70's and I've got the sunburn to show for it. :P
