WET Tourney - Gardner 7/9/08

Fished the WET trail at Gardner last night with my buddy Todd. Let me just say the new ramp is awesome. Best ramp in the state as far as I'm concerned. Heaven forbid they make a ramp like that at Candlewood (Squantz) or Lilly. But the state figures "We'll put a state of the art ramp and parking facility at a 500 acre lake rather than a 5000 acre lake). Whatever. Anyway, we finished 3rd, good enought to win a few bucks. Had 7 lbs for 5 fish. All fish came in shallow (surprisingly). Caught fish on lizards, crankbaits and one on a fluke. Water temp was in the low 80's. Very breezy. Rain held off for us which was nice. Winners had just under 10 lbs with a 3 lb lunker.

Good report! I gotta get involved in one of these before I move back down to Philadelphia Sounds like a good time.
