CT River help

Guys I have a small club tournament this weekend on the CT river.Ive been on it once seven years ago and I am unable to pre fish.Can anyone point me in the right direction.Areas/Baits/patterns etc. I dont want your best spots but anything would help.Ive searched the internet thats how I found this site.Thanks fellow Bassers. I would try going into Salmon River and try some of the coves like Seldon Cove. Being out of the main river current will make fishing a little easier as it is not as critical tidal water wise. Good luck.

Thanks SkeeterJim.Do I have to worry about the tides to make it back out of the coves once I commit and go in?Im also running a Skeeter,only mines a liitle smaller a zx200 but I believe the draft is the same. Thanks for the response Mike
