8/4 Quonipaug

Stopped by Quonipaug for a few hours after work yestarday. The weather was sunny at first, then cloudy-dark with a few sprinkles,..then sunny again! :? Ended up with 7 bass,..most were in the 2-to-3.5 lb range,..with one runt thrown in! Most were caught on the outside weedline in 8-15 FOW with a heavy jig and 1 or 2 others were on a dropshot out a bit deeper. There was a real obvious change in the bite when it got dark and cloudy for a while with the fish all of a sudden getting agressive. I even got one at that point by burning the jig over the top of the weeds,..and then had another real nice one come off after a lousy hookset because it was racing towards me as it hit the fast-moving jig! :x Pretty fun outing and I was glad to see the weedline (which is the key for me at that lake..) coming back a bit! 8)

nice stuff- haven't been there in a few weeks and last few times i got either skunked or min fish caught. i need to get back up there in my little inflatable soon.
