Old Lyme Kayaking 9/13/08

Took a trip down the the shore with the GF on Sat. Upon arriving I realized I left all my saltwater tackle at my apartment.... bummer... so I hit up the bait shop, and bought another tube and some sandworms figuring i'd just troll around on the kayak for the day. We took out our 2 person ocean kayak from around 2-6pm fishing between Point O' Woods beach and Rocky Neck. Ended up with 2 small stripers, 3 large porgies, and my first bluefish. The bluefish was easily the biggest of the bunch (20"+ i'd say) and put up a crazy fight. It ripped a decent sized hole in his lip in the process. It was actually my first bluefish ever, and being on the kayak it was a pretty cool experience. It was a better than expected day... there was alot of bird action and baitfish all over the place. Also, it was very nice to have my gf paddle me around while I fished the whole time 8)
