THAMES RIVER STRIPERS
Message:
went out to the Thames River the other day with my brother and a friend.
put the boat in at the Montville boat launch around 10:00 am headed up river and began looking for fish on the depth finder. Low and behold we ran in to a school of about 100,000 schoolie stripers give ro take 10 or 20,000. Followed them up stream all the way to Norwich. fished into the tide throwing Zoom Flukes and Lunker City Fin -s. Cant tell you the color. It's a secret white. we had doubles and we had triples. by 12:00 we had over a 100 stripers. 9 or 10 of them were real close to being keepers. 24-27" fish. Then the tide changed and started to come in. that's when it happened the bite went to shit but we still caught a few more fish. 2:00 we decided to go back to the bridge down stream when we got there we found another school of fish not as big as the first. only 50 ro 60,000 in this school. give or take 1 or 2. Fished till almost dark caught 10 to 20 more fish. it was to easy. so don't give up yet thers still fish to catch.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
