What type of line are you using?

After much discussion of the Transition Vanish being quite possibly the worst line ever, I wanted to see what you guys were loading in your reels for line. I know you saltwater guys will put me to shame, but I'll start it off with what I'm running currently in my setups:
Spinning: Stren 8 pound clear mono
Baitcaster: Stren 12 pound clear mono
I'm thinking about dropping down to 6 pound the next time I swtich my spinning gear, as I don't ever really have a problem wrestling a fish out with 8 pound, 6 might be a little more sporting.
So, whadda ya got, and quite possibly more importantly, why are you running it!?

I too use 8-10lb Stren. As for the braided line needs, I use 30lb. Power Pro. Good stuff.

14lb on my baitcaster
