went to eagleville with my buddy in my dads crawdad we launched at the new launch that's just above the bridge on the river...saw lots of trout jumping above and below the bridge but decided to leave them alone just incase the dep was around. We fished a few coves that where off the river system I managed to get a pretty big pickrel and a small bass using a stalker tube and my buddy got two small bass using an unweighted zoom lizard...kind of a slow day for that place but atleast we didint get skunked

Congrats on the non-skunk cjpd. I am not exactly sure what the official word on this is but you may have broken the DEP regulations regarding fishing in waters that contain trout during closed season which doesn't open until 6:00 am this Saturday. I think most of us who have been going fishing lately are hitting lakes & ponds that do not contain trout. Had the DEP warden shown up, how are you going to prove that you were NOT fishing for trout? Even though they stock above the pond and below the pond for some reason the pond is still open year round. There is a bridge where the river goes into it and that marks the boundry of where you have to stop fishing. As long as you stay above the dam and below the bridge catching stocked trout or not you are fine. I wouldnt keep them just in case but I dont see anywhere where it says that you cant fish the pond all year. I think you made a smart choice leavin the trout alone that were in the pond though cjpd. It is in the anglers guide Jim. Nice work hookin a couple. I want to fish there this year seems like a cool pond to fish. Lots of types of water to fish in such a small place.
