For pike fisherman

I've got a question. What would you use in a place that is relatively small, maybe no more than 5 acres, shallow and very grassy that has pike in it? Would you stick with top waters and soft plastics because everything else is just going to pull up grass. Appreciate any input

The Bass Pro Walking Frog is supposed to be a good one for pike. Spinnerbaits are very good in grass on a med/heavy rod with braided line. Probably big swimbaits rigged weedless or vertically jigged in voids in the weeds would produce.I've never used one but I've heard those weedless spoons are good too. I know Cabela's has them. A steel leader will help rip through the weeds and hopefully keep your baits :D Get a big one!

Thanks. I tried a 5" swimbait and a scumfrog. I'll try a spinnerbait next time,I didn't have any with me when I went. It's just the grass is so thick just below the surface. I'll try again. I think someone is dumping the pike in there because they were never in there before.
