Day three fish camp

Well started off the day with a kick A$$ workout (per request of the boys) then headed off to the river (southern branch)
Fished from 330 until 8. Water temps were 79-80,air temps HOT AS ..YOU KNOW WHAT and winds from thew south at 10-15 mph. Water was starting to muddy up a bit and was high for july. Slack to outgoing tide.
Landed 6 bass and one monster pickeral. My older nephew had a MONSTER SMALLIE i am guessing over 3 lbs on,it jumped about 2 feet out of the water,he got it near the boat and it wrapped itself up in some grass and the line broke..i was devistated for him. I really want him to land a big 3 lb plus fish,he lost a big largie last year as well due to line breakage. Let hiim drive as well today and man he was smiling even more today than yesterday,the river ripp is the best!
Tommorrow,big bass tournament (weather permitting) and a chest and triceps w/o!

Sounds like an awesome week you're putting together. Wish I could go to big bass tonight, but the thumb has got me out of commission unitl the weekend probably.

well missed big bass,weather men had me spooked,safetry first with the kids! Plus they had no raingear at all.....
