More froggin- half naked...
Message:
Hit another "toilet " as the locals call it today and fished the frog hard as well as a houdini shad on the pad edges. Il admit it- this place is a toilet in the spring/fall and it looks to be kickass in the summer.
Missed a HOG guarding a swarm of fry on the houdini shad. Went around working that and decided to pick up the frog rod and my favorite brown spro frog. Few casts in and I get a blow up- good fish.

Next little "point" of pads we hit I got SLAMMED on a buzzfrog and the fish comes unbuttoned, we all thought it was a big un too- took some serious drag before he popped off.
Fished around a lot more and hooked 2 dink largies guarding/eating fry. And a 2lber in some shade/brush with the frog.[img:514a97a9ee]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/moneyslap07/DSCF0624.jpg[/img:514a97a9ee]
We missed a few blow ups each and I landed another dink on the frog.
My frog is absolutely torn up after the trip I had after this one. I targeted an even smaller pond and banged a few keepers in the first 5 mins on the frog- fished long and hard there and landed 11 keepers, a heavy 1, and a skinny 4. Missed 10+ blow ups on the frog. My hookup ratio is really good when i pay attention to it- gotta love braid.
Heres the frog after landing 25+fish and dropping probably 15+fish.

Nice job Nick! Don't you just love those explosive topwater strikes! Nothing beats topwater fishing IMO.
