Crabs and clams??

Hey everyone
I went to the beach several times this week and noticed some guys digging for clams and catching blue crabs. I want to do both of these maybe next week but don't know anything about it. Unfortunately the guy I asked about the clams he was digging didn't speak english
However the guy who was catching the crabs was very helpful.
If you have any suggestions on where to go which clams i can keep or if you maybe going out at all to do some clamming or catching crabs yourself let me know. I wouldn't mind tagging along to learn.

Get a clam rake and start dragging,preferably low tide near seaweed lines
