I haven't had a chance to get out a lot this summer (my daughter is 5 and takes most of my free time which is ok by me). I went out on monday in my kayak which is new this year and not that used yet. Got out about 9 am fished till about 1:30 had a very good day caught Two Pike first was 30" second one was 25", also in the mix was 5 LMB, 1 SMB averaging about 12"-13" all fish were caught on My # 1 Bait a Pumpkinseed Spinnerbait. Had a couple hits on a 6" black worm rigged on a 1/4oz. jig. Would have done better with a 1/2oz. plus jig to penetrate the pads and grass. All and all a very good day perfect weather. The only part that sucked was I forgot my PFD on my deck. I was able to find one at a True Value hardware store for twenty bucks which was not to bad because I was about 40 miles from home.

Not a bad day on the water. The pike most have been fun to fight in a Yak...
