5/31/07 Ocean X Fluke
Message:
Picked up some fluke of south side of fishers today!!! Po' Boy departed Bayberry at 5:30AM pulled shorts till the tied died, Skates during slack, and all my keepers on the incoming tide and slightly after. Current was strong and at peek 5oz of weight was needed. All fish came in between 60 and 30 feet on buck tails and homemade fluke rigs. The key today was the flash in the teasers on the home made rigs. also saw the dreaded trawler about a 1/2 mile out Pee-You!!! :lol: Ill be heading back out tomorrow!
Final catch before I had had enough of the rocking and rolling was a 24",19.5, 20,21 & (2)18" from CT waters
P.S. for those that don't know it is illegal to posses an 18" fluke in NY waters regardless where it was caught I herd from the bait shop that several people were pinched off fishers on Wednesday
