Late: Early September Bass

Went fishing with a buddy from Tunxis at some oar power only pond in Wolcott. He wouldn't tell me the name but I think its Lakewood. He said there are big bass but I didn't catch nothing big. He caught a few runts and one about 3 pounds, and I caught 1 dink and this one:

I'm guessing it weighed about 3 and 1/2 pounds. It was pretty long though on the oar. I measured the oar and came out to 22.75 inches. Caught him on the Ol'Monster Zoom Black color. Action was pretty good for only 4 hours of fishing. This bass had my 7ft 6 Light Power St. Croix Premeir bending in ways I didn't know was possible. Going underneath the boat and coming up on the other side. The Citica handled her perfectly though with 8lb test.
