Hayward

Fishing two days in a row rocks. Was gonna go to Red Cedar but I thought the wind would be too much for the jon boat. So me and my son broke out the Skeeter and went to Lake Hayward. Got there around 11:30 and again they were on the jig. But was it ever windy. There was some sort of small sailboat competion going on and most of time they were fishing themselves out of the water after tipping over...kinda funny. Twenty to thirty mph winds, water temp 54. I caught seven or eight in the two pound range and one four lber. My son refused to change colors and didn't do very well until the end (minutes after he went to the green pumpkin) when he stuck a four lber. Nice healthy fish...all of them chunkers. Left at 2:30 with nearly dead batteries. Hope to get back there next weekend to finish the job when the wind dies down.

Nice job jigman. Is Hayward still very shallow near the boat launch? Haven't been there in years?
