the unit is about 3-4 yrs old.the transducer is not even 1 yr old and is the hockey puck type.i would give the transom mount transducer also,but i tried to get it out of the boat and stopped because i didn't want to damage it or the bottom of the boat.if you can get it out with out any damage you can have it also.
