SNAFU @ Race 6/3

Left Niantic launch @ 8AM Sunday, anyone else notice the lack of boats at the launch this year? Hit the Race near the Little Gull light house and marked fish right away at my favorite rock pile. Fish were slow to bite so we drifted into the middle section of the Race and found the bluefish stacked in the mid section of the water column with the bass nestled on the bottom. A slow but steady pick of bass and blues through out the morning. Eight bass to 38", 1 black sea bass (released), and 4 blues to be turned into shark bait for this trip. Pops continues his streak with zero fish to date, must be that stinking cigar that drives the fish away Joe will be taking out a loan to replace all the gear he lost on the bottom.

Sounds like a good trip. Pops should sneak in a banana instead of a cigar, I bet that'll change his luck :lol:
