walked outside to snowblow today and discovered that my extension cord connected to my battery charger had burned up and was no longer working, does not appear to be any damage to the charger but i could not get in and look at it directly. Anyone had this happen before?

I had one burn up a couple of years ago. It had a nick and got wet. It didn't hurt the charger, it popped the GFI.

Johnny most on board chargers have overlaod protection built into the circuitry, as not to overcharge your batteries, so you're probably ok. You can check the DC voltage at the battery, then charge the batteries with a new cord, then check the DC voltage after charging to make sure your charger is still operating properly.
