Hi, all Does anyone know what is going on at Westhill pond. How thick is the ice? How has the trout fishing been there? Could someone please tell me what bait they are hitting on, and at what depths. any information would be greatly apreciated. I am only 14 and am just looking for some information becasue I know very little about ice fishing, and my father knows even less. but I am really into it and would once again appreciate any tips, or suggestions. I was told there is public parking at one end of the lake is this true? Also where could i buy live bait around there? Thanks, Cody

Hi Cody! Plenty of ice at WEST HILL, over 6 inches. "ALL TROUT ARE ROAMERS :!: " which means they can be 2 inches under the ice, on the bottom, or in-between. You'll have to set traps or jig at different depths all during the day to find them. As for bait? Small shiners, spikes, mealworms, waxies, mousies, butter worms, trout worms, nightcrawlers, etc., etc. 3 good places to get bait.
