Planed to meet my in-law @ rogers park pond to see if we could catch some bass! I get down there and my in-law said I keep missing a fish on this tip-up it runs like crazy but, I cannot catch what ever it is. Shortly after maybe 20 minutes has past the tip up pops and the line runs... I end up grabbing the line setting the hook and it seems I lose the fish!! The rest you can see is in the video below! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAuggPwGPck Many of the same holes produced multiple fish jigging and with a tip ups this one for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iePl1TrA6Lc For being a bullhead and the size we usually catch, this one was BIG. Before putting the tip up back in the hole my in law jigs a swedish pimple with some spikes and pulls out a bass Water depth around 5 ft deep minnow size - small jigs used - swedish pimple & "airplane" depth fished minnows 8in - 2ft off the bottom depth fished w/ jigs bottom - 3ft from the bottom The morning and early afternoon went well with plenty of small bass and sunfish caught.
