I went to Congamond today early A.M.! I had heard bad reports of unsafe ice however that was not the case. THe fist foot off shore was a little slushy but the ice was still black! A VERY GOOD SIGN! there was no WHITE ice and no honeycombing! I still drilled a solid 8" of black ice and i am sure with the next 4 days of below freezing temps we still have some time to fish! So i will check in with futher reports of local areas!

Making Ice

Just chiseled 3" off my 20 gallon minnow tank. There was none this morning. Heading out to Huntington State Park in Redding tomorrow for some hard water fishing thumbup
