one of my friends called me up and said he and his dad wanted me to show him my little "secret spot"...i caved in and we spent the afternoon out on the ice. ice was about 6-8". the bite was on and off all day, a few flags would fly at once then we'd sit around, cook some venicen, sit around, a few flags would fly, etc. all runt bass today, but decent numbers of them. last time i was there i pulled out a nice 2.6lber. no such luck today...that place holds some big fish but they must not have been hungry! still a decent day out on the ice, not too cold, not much wind.

Those brick ponds are not the pond I am talking about. I have fished those brick ponds several times (at least on one side of the highway). Have hooked into some nice bass there, but there are posted 'no fishing' signs now...so this summer was the first in a while when I have not gone out. No idea how the hardwater bite is there. If you go be sure to let us all know!
