Well went to my normal spot with the left over shiners from mansfield yesterday, spent the day on lower bolton lake, that place can always make a day of ice fishing sweet with flags all day,was there for 7 left at noon, 3 small largemouth,2 smallies ,3 pickeral all between 1 and 3pounds, a few perch but very small , then a nice pretty fat 21 inch catfish, kept that one for my buddy.Ice was 8inches,and pretty windy, finished the shiners up no problem .If u guys get time check it out it really is a productive lake..

Sounds great bb glad you did well I think I'll take my son there this weekend just for the action. Where about do you fish in relation to the boat launch? I used to fish between the pump station and the overflow on open water and have done well!

Ya perfect spot for kids, just because u know that you wont be skunked, but ya ive been all over it. exactly were u said i got a real nice smallie couple weeks ago,i was actually shocked it was big, but the ice over there bugs me out a little beacause the thickness is all over place, most of the time i like to go straight out staying to my left more so,get to the middle then work the tip ups in 2 lines right fo the pump station, and it never fails , i like to lock down a decent size area , and that way every two is at a different depth , I know for sure the floor of that place is loaded with cat fish , due to the old timers that walk around and tell stories of real big one and watching them get stocked heavily......Good luck ..maybe i will see u there
