What are you going to do after the 28th of Feburary?

Hi Guys! Well ice fishing on all the trout lakes and ponds here in Ct. ends Feb. 28th. Except for those that have a special 1 trout a day over 16 inches limit till the end of March. All the non trout ponds and lakes will still be open for pan fish. I happen to have gotten my Massachusetts non-resident Lic. (Which is less than a regular Ct. resident Lic.) and Ma. has "No Closed Season" on any fish. VERY NICE :!: :!: :!: Because I'm less then 20 minutes from the border -> I'll be able to hit the ponds and lakes up there for trout, salmon, pike, etc. With all this thick ice we have (Which I belive will hold till near the end of March) are most of you guys going to continue to fish or put your gear away for the season? Just waiting for the ice on West Hill to melt so I can start trolling. Going to repaint my canoe, get my tin can ready, get all my line on my reels, and over spring break make a new ice fishing box, and make new flags for my tip ups. Going to fish Bantam friday, saturday, and sunday up in North Bay to end my season. Maybe hit the parts of the Farmington that are open till April 1. Usually March is when I organize all my tackle, scope out new ponds, and start feeding largemouths jerk baits... :lol:

I'm praying for warmth and sun, maybe with enough of that the ice will be gone sooner than we think. I have my mass license as well, you ever fish webster lake SEADOG? I love that place,it's only a 20min drive for me and I'm a bass guy of course and they got smallies and largies. I fished there this past fall about 3 times a week,and had great results almost every outing. I've heard a lot about trout fishing being good there as well and i've caught some really nice pike there too. I guess they stocked tiger muskies there back in the 90's i believe, so there's gotta be some of them in there as well.
