Lake Housatoilet

Took the kids out for a boat ride this morning. Boat shook out fine, which always brings a smile to your face. I threw a trap and a jerkbait around, more to see the colors in the water of the stuff i just painted. I spent most of my time untangling my kids lines from various things including them! You guessed it, skunk a roo.... Water temps were 47 and it is flooded pretty good. Only about 2 ft or ramp was showing at the launch. The guys from the parks dept said they are closing the launch at Indian Well until probably monday due to debris in the water. I saw a few pieces of smaller wood in the water, but it was way less than any given day on Loginonah...Hope you all cought em. B

Brennam whats up. I'm assuming you went to lake housatonic which I almost went to on fri, i was going to take my kayak, it's fine to fish there now right? I wasnt positive if I could. By the way I live in trumbull as well. I'm trying to get get a hook up at Canoe Brook Lake, my girl's brother lives right up the street

Launch opens April 1, but they closed it do to flooding conditions. Try again during the week. There is a canoe portage somewhere off indian well rd. Not quite sure where it is though. Canoe brook is tough to get on. If you do not have proper access, I would not try. Homeowners are protective of their water. Good luck! B
