Silver Lake 4/6 (from shore 6-8 p.m.)
Message:
I fished from the far right of the boat launch. The water was choppy for awhile, but not horrible. I had a Carolina rigged white shad, a chartreuse plastic swimtail thingy and a weedless frog in my rotation. Nothing was biting except mosquitoes. The water got calm around 7:30 so I switched to a red & black buzzbait. Got my first and only strike on the 2nd cast. Very unexpected...the lake had few ripples on the surface in comparison to the other 3 places I night-fished in the past week. I didn't see any topwater splashing at all while I was there (with the one exception.) I stringered it so I could find my camera and set up the automatic timer. No takers on the buzzbait after the bass was released.
