I arrived at Lake Housatonic to find it was loaded with YUPPIES; yes it was their annual REGATTA. You couldn't spit without hitting a RANGE ROVER: HUMMER BMW or other high class veichles. The lake was full of all sorts of rowing boats. But I figured what the heck Anyway the water was 67 Degrees and I managed a few SMB nothing great the largest being about 2lbs. Lots of rock bass but still no LMB. For some reason the fish are still not very aggressive. I would think the POST SPAWN would have been over by now we are well into June. Anyway what could make this trip perfect? How about a DOWNPOUR. It did answer a question I had had would my new inflatable PFD inflate in a heavy shower? The folks at Cabelas had assurred me it wouldn't and I was happy to see they that as they had said you have to go into the drink for them to work. Oh well the fish are safe once again till next week. cmorjoe
