Transom Savers

This subject gets tons of attention. Havent had one for two years. I figured the factory motor bracket is there and designed for a reason. The only problem is once I replaced my steering cables the motor would lay right over on a sharp turn. At that point I started to research "Transom Savers" I thought if I can somehow secure the steering I'd be OK. With dual cables its about in possible unless you strap the motor.
The conventional "Transom Savers" that attach the lower unit to the trailer seemed funky to me. Why have you motor stabilized to your trailer. even though it is straped together it just seems wrong. On the roads around here you cant tell me that those ten foot bunk boards dont flex which puts some pressure right on your lower unit.
The factory engine "towing bracket" seems to do the right thing...stabilizes up and down movement but does nothing for side to side. Keeps the motor off your trim cylinders. Does a super shitty job keeping your motor from shaking side to side.
So....I purchased a " Lock N Haul" simple easy holds motor tighter to the boat than any other conventional Transom Saver I have owned or seen.
Just wondering what other "fishtalkers" are using and what your opinions are
I can say this...so far there is a noticable difference in towing and stability
Here is a cool you tube Video

I bought these two plastic thingies (real technical) that you "clip" over the bar that the motor turns over..it prevents any movement of the engine during trailering, bought them at reynolds...

John,
I've seen those. I think they can only be used on Hydraulic steering. Do you use the motor bracket?
