Nod Brook WMA 05/11

After suffering a miserably cold, wet morning at Batterson, I spent several hours in the afternoon at Nod Brook WMA on the Avon/Simsbury border. Thankfully, there was only a slight breeze on the water. Phew! I ended up catching five largemouth bass on the upper pond and one on the lower pond. The biggest was 15-inches and weighed only 1 lb. 11 oz.. (on the digital scale I picked up at Walmart yesterday). But it was like heaven compared to Batterson.
