Bantam River

Went to the river Saturday at 5:30 am. Went out for the first time fishing with Senkos (5" Black w/Purple Flake). Took along my trusty White and Pumpkinseed spinnerbaits My plan was to target LMB with the Senkos. I fished the lower half going to the lake. I think I caught about 18 total fish 10 which were LMB ranging from 12" to these two nice ones. I guess that all types of fish like this bait, Rock Bass to Yellow Perch. The smallest fish was a 4" Rock Bass. It was funny to see 4" of worm sticking out of it Pie Hole. Also caught a couple of Pike nothing of any size to talk about. Most Bass were taken around submerged timber. It took 2 or 3 fish to get the strike down, but all fish were released unharmed. The pole I was using the reel had red line and I could not pick up the line moving. Thought it was the Kayak moving. Wanted to thank Skeeter Jim for some insight in rigging with the o-rings. I had a hour to kill last night. So I had to see if the Senko fishing was beginners luck so I went to Batterson and picked up 2 LMB about a 1.5 lbs each.
