Pike in CT River

Hey, does anybody know what time of year is the best to fish for pike in the CT River? I never fished for them before and would like to try sometime. And are there any down around Haddam?

early spring and late fall..but this time of year thru september u can usually find them in shallow grass and especially in any marina..spinnerbaits work good.
