6-09-07 S.A.C tourney

Reel crazy got out with a couple of friend on board saturday for the sound anglers club striper tourney. It was a slot limit of 30-36inches and heaviest fish wins.
We hit new haven harbor at 3 am loaded with bunker. to bad the striper we not there. We ended up getting 3 but on the small and skinny side. So I ran east to where I hit big fish a couple of days before. It was a really crappy day. after a 30 min run in thick fog,we were into the fish. all 38-44 inches. finally we landed a fat 34 1/2 incher that ended up weighing 18.94 lbs.
the bite died off so we hit a few spots on the way back to port but found nothing.
well we ended up winning the tourney and ended up with a beautiful Rod and reel combo.

How far east have you been heading? I'll be out tomorrow AM for the incoming around the breaks where you usually see me. Hopefully, something will be there!

I been hitting the east end of branford.
I havent fished the walls in about a week.
Let me know how you make out.
the harbor pretty much slowed down
