Lake Winchester

Took my son last night and fished mostly top waters and some sluggos and dragged some shallow shiners behind the boat. Caught 12 largemouth and 5-6 goggle eye bass (not sure what they are called but they are some kind of bass hybrid). Largest was pushing 2 lbs which was the size of the mosquitos that eventually drove us off the lake after the sun set. Stumps everywhere make after dark navigational challenges. Coming on the full moon I expected fish to be busting the surface but there were virtually none. Most fish caught on trolling shiners. Very fun and all released alive and kickin..

Nice job Shiner. With all the tree stumps in Winchester I would have eventually turned to fishing a jig.
