Started off at 4:00 am to find bait in the harbor - NADA - no Bunker or Shad. Headed out to the "reef" took a while to find them, ended up with 10 keepers to 42", numerous shorts and many choppers. It seemed like if you could find them, and get through the blues, they would hit at any stage of the tide, even slack. The Blues were coughing up chunks of adult bunker - also saw some on the surface scared for their life. All Bass and Blues were caught on jigs - the largest bass came, when the tide was running very hard, on 24oz mojos with 10' trailer to a large floating jig. Both 40" plus bass hit the floating jig and the mojo had a bluefish attached. All other fish were caught on ava 67 diamonds with and without trailers. left them hitting - all fish released.
