Candlewood - Friday 7/30
Message:
Took some people from work for a fun fishing trip on Candlewood. Water was stained, temp 78F, clear skies, lite wind. Fished mostly weed bed in about 15-25 FOW. Noting, threw everything but the kitchen sink. Talked with a few other guys and it seemed to be the same for them. There was a cold front the night before so that might have had a big effect on the fish. Around 11:30 worked a stone wall, (FOUND THEM) It seemed they were stacked against the wall. They were hitting tubes, jibs, swim baits. Best fish was a 2+ smb, I lost a monster at the boat. It was a smb that went well over 4+. I caught that monster on a customer jig I made and was playing with.. It's a good feeling that something you made catches fish..

Aha!

Hey, Ron, thanks. The cold front might explain why Flipper and I didn't see any northern pike or too much of anything else at Hopeville Pond on Friday, either.
