Salmon Brook - Granby

Well I went out for some of the most satisfying fishing I've had all year. You gotta love spending time at the water with the kids especially when they are on the fish. We hit a small pool on the West Branch of Salmon Brook. I put down the pole today and watched while my 2 sons shared a superman rod and reel and in 1-1/2hrs they caught this...

They had a great time but I think I still had the most fun. They were all caught on trout worms and small bait hooks with some tiny split shots. The brookies were all colored up for spawning. My younger son caught the most while my older son caught the lunker at just a hair under 13". As you can see from my oldest son's face he had just come from the fair at Holcomb Farm. All fish were released unharmed.

sounds like an awesome day, iv been hitting up salmon brook ina few different places and iv noticed the native brookies are going crazy. My brother and i were there for about 3 hours and must have caught 15 each, both on worms and fly fishing. Some nice browns too.
