Hand held ice auger

does anyone suugest a hand auger that is reliable and cuts good i need to buy a new one just incase my gas powered one decieds not to work

Hi 18!
Take the auger off the power head.
Get an adapter that allows you to use an 18 volt (or better) cordless drill.
It's what I use (6 inch auger) and can get 10 to 12 holes drilled off 1 battery in 6 to 8 inches of ice.
Oh! I do carry a spare charged battery with me!

Nils pretty much has the best hand augers on the market....in mine and a lot of peoples opinions. Just dont slam the blades on the ice it will ruin them.
