Winter Fishkill Possibility
Message:
Hi All! Well with the 2 blizzards we have now experienced there is a very possible winter fishkill that can happen because of the heavy ice and snow cover over our shallow lakes and ponds here in Ct. As an FYI -> here's a report you should read! www.aquaweed.com/pdf/Winterkill%20Fact%20Sheet.pdf Not something I would like to see happen :!: -> and not much we can do to prevent it :!: :( Unfortunately it is the reality of things :!: SeaDog1 :(

Hi All! Have put in a call to the Ct. DEP fisheries biologist concerning possible winter fishkill and if they are/will be taking O2 level samples in particular waters. Will post info as soon as I recevie it! As informed -> expectation is that fishing will slow down considerably :!: SeaDog1
