nod brook 1/30

I went to nod brook today to fish the south pond with my buddy will. We jigged and had 6 tip ups set up from around 10 30 to 3:30. Jigging was completely unproductive- not even any sunnys or perch. I had a total of 4 flags but missed 2 of them. The other two flags produced two 20+ inch pickerel. I was a little disappointed i didn't hook into dawg's and kira's 4 1/2 lb bass....maybe that was one of the flags i missed....
Anyway, I didnt measure or weigh the first one because the thing was a bloody slimey mess and i just wanted to get rid of it, but the second was 2 pounds 3 ounces and measured out to 20 inches. Im not sure if the first one was bigger. It may have been. That last flag popped up literally right as I was packing up to go home. I was actually walking to the tip up to pull up the shiner.

Pretty good day. That big bass probably won't eat anything for a few weeks...lol

even if its slow at nod, i still love going there. that place is unbelievably beautiful.
