Moving to Danbury CT
Message:
Hi All, I'm moving to the Danbury area and was looking for info on fishing. I came across this site and figured it would be a good idea to sign up and say hello. I was born and raised in FL. I moved to MA several years ago when my wife took a new job up here. Some things changed and she took a new job in NY. I didn't want to live in NY so we went for CT. I have done a little fishing up here in MA but have been very disappointed with most of the lakes I found. Going from fish the size of redfish, snook and tarpon, to what you find up here in the north has not helped at all. I'm not new to fresh water fishing but have far more experience in salt water; I do love catching good size bass. Anyhow...We will be closing on a house in a week and I hope to start exploring the area a little. I'm sure this site will be a great resource. Happy fishing.

Welcome! There are plenty of good lakes and ponds in the Danbury area, the fish may be a bit smaller than down south but there are decent sizes around, just check some of the pictures posted on this site. There are plenty of seasoned people who fish and can provide plenty of info. I'm in Danbury as well so i hope to see ya out there!

Thanks for the welcome fishinguy. I have noticed a lot of lakes in the area. Once we get done with our move and the weather warms up I plan on exploring them. Do they stock the lakes around the Danbury area? I know in MA there are a few lakes around that are stocked with trout for the colder months. E
