first bass of year!

decided it was too nice to work yesterday so i left work and took my 10 foot yacht out with my cousin we fished a small local pound and i caught three decent bass and he caught three bass all about six inches long :lol: i was using a brown jig while he was using watermelon grub. bite was slow at first but then we found honey hole about six feet deep where all fish came out of . heres one of the three i caught

So the fish were schooling up on the bottom? I pedaled my Hobie around the upper pond at Nod Brook WMA and my finder marked only one fish. The pond has overflowed its banks, so I think that the fish are hiding in the shallows. The only fish I saw was an 18 inch trout that headed up the creek in the northwest corner of the pond. jonnyfly00 (aka Jon) said that he saw a bunch of big trout in there a little bit earlier in the day.
