Any Good Ponds For Bass?

Hey everyone, I am just returning to this site after a year long absence. I was just wondering if anyone out there knows of any good small ponds out there for bass. I plan on hitting the back waters hard this season with my little rowboat and will be going by rumors,tall tales,and hunches to guide me to some sweet, little known spots to hit for some good bass action. I have already started these past couple weeks but have had little luck. I hit a small LMB on Community Lake in Wallingford on my lunch break yesterday, and a couple more small ones on a golf coarse pond around the corner from community lake. I have yet to find any good action on these types of waters but have lots of ambition to find them. I understand that most people won't be willing to give away their secret spots and I don't blame them.I will however be more than willing to share my own findings with others who are helpful, as I remember there are many on this site who are. Also interested to see any discusion this might stir up. I may not have been logged in for a while but I never stopped reading the posts in this wonderful Bass section.

Johnny was probably targeting the crappies with a crappie rig (i.e., a small jig underneath a bobber set at the right depth). the weather has been making bass action tough. Once we get a few warm days the action will pick up. Keep at it. Try jerk baits, hudini shad fished very very slow, senkos, keitechs paddle tail grubs and 3" grubs with a jig head and other soft plastic baits. Once the water heats up some look for pre spawn bass crusing the shoreline. Shakey head baits are great for catching bass looking for or on their beds. If you are hitting small ponds, just make sure they are legal to fish :lol:
