Saugatuck River
Message:
Hit the Saugatuck River today at the lowest Dam just above Canal St in Westport. It was my first time there and the water looked good, nice deep currents and an area that resembled a pool, but not quite. Didn't get into any fish, but it looked promising. I was fishing different colored Meps spinners and then an rubber fish with a spoon at the head for some flash. Has anyone fished below that dam before with any results? Let me know, and if you are a local spin-fisher any idea on spots in the area?
