upper Ct river info

Lookinin to fish the upper CT for the first time this year. Planning on launching on the Farmington at the Hot Dog shop. Any suggestions on what to look out for on the Farmington before getting to the mouth? Is there a good channel? Running a 17 ft alum with a 20 hp.

Hey, swany, where's the Hot Dog shop? Is it on the west bank of the Connecticut, just south of the mouth of the Farmington? I always launch from the boat launch ramp in Linear Park, which is on the east bank of the Connecticut at the end of Vibert Road in South Windsor. It's directly across the river from the mouth of the Farmington.

right now the the CT is FAST and MUDDY with LOTS of debris... hopefully it will clear up in a couple/3 weeks
